The Defenders discover part of Morocco has vanished and fight to bring it back. But what is the connection to the book Kshin is reading for school?

Defenders of the Earth is an American animated television series produced in 1986, featuring characters from three comic strips distributed by King Features Syndicate—Flash Gordon, The Phantom, and Mandrake the Magician—opposing Ming the Merciless in the year 2015. Supporting characters include their children Rick Gordon, Jedda Walker, Kshin, Mandrake's assistant Lothar, and Lothar's son L.J. The show lasted for 65 episodes; there was also a short-lived comic book series published by Star Comics, created by Gerry Conway, Ross Andru and John Romita, Sr.. The closing credits credit Rob Walsh and Tony Pastor for the main title music, and Stan Lee for the lyrics. The series was later shown in reruns on the Sci Fi Channel as part of Sci Fi Cartoon Quest.

The necklace of Oros would give Ming his long-awaited wish of knowing the secret of gravity. Knowing that it is Jedda's birthday and, on that day, she gets to select a gift from the family jewels Ming arranges through Gravitron that she select the necklace. Thus begins another splendid episode in which the forces of good and evil are colorfully depicted through luxurious landscapes and terrifying aliens.

True to its title, "The Story Begins" introduces the audience to the Defenders Of The Earth's colorfully animated cast of characters. It is Flash Gordon, whose spaceship crashes near Mandrake and Lothar's mansion, who tells us of evil Ming's plan to destroy the earth. In addition to being panicked over Ming's plans for the destruction of earth, he is anguished over the well-being of his wife and son Rick whom he was forced to leave behind.

A gang of racketeers, with the aid of a high-ranking city official has control of a big-city, and the police plant an undercover cop to gather evidence against the hoodlums - except the police keep telling the wrong person what they are up to.

Kro-Tan overtakes his father only to fall prey to his own greediness. Kro-Tan, Ming's son, wants to take over his father's kingdom. He pays a visit to Zorelda, an old ugly witch with magical powers and asks for her support. Zorelda complies and gives Kro-Tan three powers: teleportation, telekenesis and disguise.

Cyril is doing his Taï-Chi in a corner of the Domaine du Manoir. A golf club slams into the back of his neck, killing him with a deadly blow. The investigation is entrusted to Maud Arthuis, who is more than 8 months pregnant but widowed.

The Defenders are a crack team of lawyers dedicated to one principle - the accused is innocent untill proven guilty. This time, they defend a man wrongly convicted of murder.

Mysteries of the Bible is an hour-long television series that was originally broadcast by A&E from March 25, 1994 until June 13, 1998 and aired reruns until 2002. The series was about biblical mysteries and was produced by FilmRoos. The Discovery Channel and BBC also released a series of the same name in 2003. National Geographic produced a series with this title in 2006.

Mysteries of the Deep is a 1959 Disney nature documentary short film. Though not an official True-Life Adventures film, it did accompany the release of The Vanishing Prairie and was included on the Walt Disney Legacy Collection's True Life Adventures releases as a bonus feature. It is narrated by Winston Hibler. The film is a panorama of animals inhabiting the sea near the coast: dolphins, sharks, whales, crabs, rays and fish of all kinds.
